He will be part of the board from October 21, 2023 to October 20, 2026.<\/p><p>The appointment is an international recognition of Modvigs medical expertise and organizational talent, which he has applied in the fight against torture for almost 30 years. He was also chairman of the UN Committee against Torture from 2016 to 2021.<\/p><p>The purpose of the UN Fund for Torture Survivors is to help torture survivors and their families rebuild their lives by supporting civil society organizations.
